BPI Certified Building Analyst:

Certified by the BPI (Building Performance Institute) as a Building Analyst, Building Shell Specialist, and Multifamily Specialist, we are trained in BPI’s rigorous house-as-a-system approach and keep conscientiously up-to-date on certification (BPI requires Building Analysts to be re-certified every three years). As a BPI Building Analyst our team is certified to conduct blower-door tests, combustion appliance inspection and repair, air quality testing including carbon monoxide detection, duct testing and airflow testing in addition to our other contracting services.



The California Association of Building Energy Consultants (CABEC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing up-to-date, reliable information about the California Title 24 Energy Standards and related building energy efficiency topics, as well as helping energy consultants stay on the cutting edge of building energy efficiency. This includes a voluntary Certified Energy Analyst (CEA) program, the Certified Energy Plans Examiner (CEPE) training and testing, a quarterly web based newsletter, web site, annual meetings and free regional meetings. These activities have been developed to assure a professional level of training, experience and qualification for those individuals preparing Title 24 compliance and energy analysis documentation.


RESNET Certified HERS Rater:

As a certified HERS rater, our team is certified through CalCERTS to conduct both home energy audits and home energy ratings. As per RESNET’s standards, we take building science classes throughout the year to ensure that our energy audits and home energy ratings use the latest science, technology, and computer programs to provide you with the best and most effective information available.









We are certified in calCERTS ratings in nearly every area of certification. CalCERTS sets the standard in California for establishing a benchmark of a home’s energy use and it is the system we used to identify the best possible upgrades for homeowners.



We are a Certified Green Building Professional. Energy Upgrade California’s goals are to reduce energy consumption, Save Californian money and create jobs, we fully support every one of these goals and are proud to be a part of the program. We are certified energy raters through the EUC program as well as Contractors.



Build It Green is a membership-supported Bay Area nonprofit established in 2005. Their organization works with building and real estate professionals, local and state governments, and homeowners to increase awareness and adoption of green building practices. Their mission is to promote healthy, energy- and resource-efficient building practices in California through outreach and education.



The LEED AP Homes credential is suited for those involved in the design and construction of healthy, durable homes that use fewer resources and produce less waste. The specialty denotes practical knowledge in the LEED for Homes rating system.


The LEED AP BD+C credential suits professionals with expertise in the design and construction phases of green buildings serving the commercial, residential, education and healthcare sectors. The specialty denotes practical knowledge in the LEED for New Construction, LEED for Schools and LEED for Core and Shell rating systems.
